From a young age, I was convinced my destiny was between the goalposts. I was a gifted goalkeeper, diving, blocking, and making saves that could have rivalled the best in the game. In my mind, I was on track to become the next great shot-stopper—maybe even Ghana’s version of Manuel Neuer. But there was just one small problem… my parents had zero plans of letting me become a footballer.

Not only did they disapprove, but they took active measures to ensure “my dream” didn’t take off—literally chasing me off the field during league matches. They always reminded me that “my books won’t kick themselves into my head head,” and after enough forced substitutions from football to studying, I had no choice but to retire early. Looking back, maybe they had a point—though I still believe I could’ve won a few trophies before Engineering stole my heart.

Education & Career

My Educational and Professional Life so far.
High School - Ghana National College
University Years – Accra Technical University

Music was a significant part of my upbringing, largely influenced by my father’s deep appreciation for choral music. This natural inclination led me to join the school choir during high school, where I quickly found my place in the Bass section. Despite being a science student, I was deeply committed to the choir and eventually took on the role of Bass leader.

Balancing academics with music required dedication, but it became an essential part of my personal growth. Leading the Bass section not only strengthened my musical abilities but also taught me valuable leadership and teamwork skills. These experiences shaped my ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively, a skill that would later prove valuable in my professional journey.

Entering university, I was drawn to Electrical and Electronic Engineering, inspired by the remarkable work of Isaac Sesi, a young Ghanaian innovator making waves in technology and entrepreneurship. His ability to apply engineering principles to solve real-world problems resonated with me, and I saw electrical engineering as a field that could make me versatile while equipping me with the skills to tackle some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

It was in these formative years that I started exploring ways to apply my engineering knowledge beyond the classroom, leading to my first venture in business - An agritech startup focused on providing low-cost technology solutions to smallholder farmers in Ghana to increase yield and maximize profit. This period marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, shaping my mindset toward innovation, leadership, and business development.

My Professional Life

Co-founder, Dent Agrisystems & Aquaponics Hub

2017 - 2023

With the belief that technology can help us work better in nature, I led a team together with my co-founders, Clement Siaw and Lawrencia Kwansah, to develop low cost technologies like soil sensors, weather stations and Aquaponics Systems to help smallholder farmers maximize yield and profit and to encourage sustainable agriculture and innovative food production methods. Through this venture, I secured funding and led training programs in aquaponics and IoT-driven farming solutions, helping individuals and communities adopt modern agricultural techniques.

Owner, Accra Transport Services

2020 – 2023

As I continued to explore business opportunities, I identified a growing challenge in reliable ground transportation information and services. Travelers often struggled with inconsistent service, lack of verified transport options, and inefficient coordination upon arrival. This gap led me to establish Accra Transport Services, a company dedicated to streamlining transport information and providing reliable transportation solutions. Over time, Accra Transport Services has evolved beyond just airport pickups. It has transitioned into a comprehensive transport directory, encompassing all forms of transportation—from car rentals and ride-hailing to logistics and freight services, gathering a processing tonnes of transport data.

Roles in Project Management

2020 and beyond

Since 2020, I have taken on various Project Management roles, both within my own startups and in collaboration with other organizations. My experience spans multiple industries, including skills development, education, agritech, and transportation, allowing me to develop a well-rounded approach to managing projects efficiently. Over time, Accra Transport Services has evolved beyond just airport pickups. It has transitioned into a comprehensive transport directory, encompassing all forms of transportation—from car rentals and ride-hailing to logistics and freight services, gathering a processing tonnes of transport data.
